Balsam Data Strategies LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates MotorMigo across web, iOS, and Android (the "App" or "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use MotorMigo, and the choices you have about that information.

1.1 Personal Data

While using our Service, particularly when you create an account, we may collect personally identifiable information such as:

  • User ID (generated by our authentication provider)

1.2 Usage & Analytics Data

We may collect information about how you use the Service ("Usage Data"), including:

  • App usage timing and frequency
  • Interaction events (e.g., screens visited, buttons tapped)
  • Crash logs and diagnostic information

1.3 Vehicle & Inspection Data

To provide MotorMigo, we collect data you input about vehicles, including:

  • VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)
  • Make, model, year, and trim
  • Mileage
  • Inspection responses and notes
  • Optional photos you upload as part of inspection reports

1.4 Payment & Purchase Data

We do not store full payment card numbers. Purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play, with purchase validation and subscription management handled by RevenueCat. We may receive purchase status and entitlement data to deliver the Service.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected data for various purposes:

  • To provide and maintain the Service: Storing your vehicle reports and inspection history.
  • To notify you about changes: Updates to the App or service capabilities.
  • To allow interactive features: Managing your inspections and reports.
  • To provide customer support: Troubleshooting issues you report.
  • To monitor usage: Analyzing how the App is used to improve features (via Mixpanel and Firebase Analytics).
  • To detect and prevent technical issues: Logging crashes and errors (via Firebase Crashlytics).
  • To personalize localization: Applying your selected country, language, and currency preferences.

3. De-Identified & Aggregated Data

We may create de-identified or aggregated data from your information. We may use this data to improve our Service, publish anonymized reports, or for marketing purposes on our website or elsewhere. This data does not include personally identifiable information (PII).

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service. These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

  • Google Firebase: Authentication, database storage, analytics, and crash reporting.
  • Mixpanel: Product analytics and event tracking.
  • Google Vertex AI / Gemini (or other AI providers): AI services to process vehicle data and generate inspection reports. We may change models or providers over time. Data submitted for analysis is processed by these providers under their enterprise data privacy policies and is not used to train public models.
  • RevenueCat: Subscription and purchase infrastructure, including receipt validation with Apple App Store and Google Play.

5. International Data Transfers

We operate in multiple countries, and your information may be processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. We take steps to protect your information in accordance with this policy and applicable laws.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

We will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.

Deleting Your Account: You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time. You can do this directly within the App: 1. Open Account (or Settings) in the app. 2. Scroll to Delete account and data and tap it. 3. Confirm your choice.

This action permanently removes your user profile, inspection history, and generated reports from our servers. We may retain limited backups for a short period for security or legal compliance and then securely delete them.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to our processing of your information, and to request portability or restriction. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13.
